CHALLENGE
Bagboard is a truly groundbreaking concept, rewarding shoppers who reuse their Bagboard shopping bags, with savings on eco-friendly products from environmentally conscious brands. All this whilst also helping to remove plastic from the oceans of the world. To do this each of Bagboard’s recyclable paper bags needed to be unique and traceable in some way. Also the bags are free to the consumer, and funded by advertisers placing their ads on them, so they had to be top notch quality and often display multiple variants of ads consecutively within a print run!
RESPONSE
We were involved right from Bagboard's pre-launch days alongside Ultimate Digital (the printer) and Sirane (the bag converter) tasked with developing a practical solution to managing and producing the unique artworks using variable data. As this involved incorporating ads from many different sources (inc. designers, agencies, self taught customers etc.) we had to include a template, spec and thorough flight check to ensure the ads printed at the best possible quality. Collaborating closely with Bagboard, and our partners we have enabled this project to flourish!
